Qutab Minar

“See the heights with an UNESCO world heritage site.”

Qutab Minar is a renowned UNESCO world heritage site. This tower was established in the year 1192, by the very first ruler of Delhi Qutb-ud-din Aibak. This minaret is named after its creator.

This five storey tower is built purely from marble and red sandstone and has a spiral staircase which takes you to the top in 379 steps.

Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world standing tall at 72.5 meters and thus holds great historical significance.

Best Season

Since Delhi really experiences hot summers, it would be better if the place is visited during September end to March.
As Qutab Minar include beautiful grounds to walk around so evening makes the journey a more enjoyable experience.

How to Reach

Metro: The distance between Qutub Minar and Qutub Minar Metro Station is only 1.9 KM and cab be reached by Auto. It takes nearly 10 minute to reach there from Metro.
